Looking for a role where no two days are the same?

Family First Dental and Kareela Family Dental are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our friendly team.

This hybrid position is perfect for someone who enjoys both clinical and administrative responsibilities. You'll spend your day moving between supporting our clinicians chairside and creating exceptional experiences for patients at reception.

About the Role

As a Hybrid Dental Assistant / Receptionist, you'll play an integral role in the smooth operation of our practices, providing both outstanding clinical support and exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reception & Patient Care

Welcoming patients with warmth and professionalism.
Managing appointments, recalls and the daily schedule.
Answering phones, emails and patient enquiries.
Processing payments, Medicare and private health fund claims.
Coordinating treatment appointments and supporting patient communication.
Maintaining accurate patient records and completing end-of-day procedures.

Clinical Assistance

Assisting dentists chairside during a variety of procedures.
Preparing treatment rooms and equipment.
Maintaining infection prevention and sterilisation standards.
Supporting patient comfort before, during and after treatment.
Assisting with digital imaging, clinical charting and laboratory tasks where required.
Maintaining clinical stock and ensuring surgeries are well organised.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Comfortable working in both reception and clinical environments.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced practice.
A confident communicator with outstanding customer service skills.
Reliable, motivated and eager to learn.
A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to a positive workplace culture.

You'll be highly regarded if you have:

Previous dental assisting and/or dental reception experience.
A Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience using dental practice management software.
Knowledge of Medicare, private health funds and treatment scheduling.
