What You'll Do
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring inventory across our warehouse network is effectively managed from demand through to disposal. You’ll use data-driven insights to optimise inventory holdings, reduce costs, minimise operational risk, and support business performance.
In this role, you will:
- Analyse large and complex inventory datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities, providing recommendations that optimise inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations.
- Proactively manage slow-moving, excess and obsolete inventory, driving disposal and value recovery initiatives.
- Review and process Material Master Change requests, ensuring appropriate MRP settings and data integrity within ERP systems.
- Maintain compliance with Inventory Management Procedures, including governance requirements, approvals and disposal processes.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards and performance metrics to support inventory decision-making.
- Contribute to inventory governance, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner closely with Finance and Joint Venture stakeholders to support audits, inventory reviews and allocation of disposal proceeds.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Operations and other business stakeholders to optimise inventory outcomes and support operational requirements.
What You'll Bring
You are an analytical and commercially minded inventory professional who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data and influencing stakeholders to drive better business outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience managing large and diverse material catalogues and inventory portfolios.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proven experience interpreting inventory and materials data to support decision-making.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Business Intelligence tools for reporting and analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP, within Supply Chain, Asset Management, Maintenance or Enterprise Asset Management environments.
- A commitment to governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, FMCG or another asset-intensive industry.
- Knowledge of purchasing-to-pay processes, inventory management and cataloguing principles.
- APICS, CIPS or similar professional accreditation.
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
