Mining Skills Australia (MSA) is looking for experienced Mining fleet Operators and or Crew Trainers who feel that they can coach and mentor, towards efficient operating applications and preventive maintenance awareness capabilities on production gear—without stepping away from the industry you know.
This role suits operators, crew and existing site trainers with a required minimum of 3 years’ experience who want a step-up into training and leadership—while keeping it practical, hands-on and site-relevant.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR/MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for these positions you must hold:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40110 or part Completion
- Australian Driver’s License
- RII’s/Machine Competencies
- Hands-on experience with operator step-up and/or refresher training
- Basic proficiency using computers and/or Android tablets
- 3 yrs Operating either of the following 2 types of equipment:
- Production Excavator/Dozers
- Production Graders /Dozers
- Production Loader/Graders
- Production Loader/Dozers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coach and mentor production operator capabilities through step-up and refresher training.
· Deliver practical training that reinforces safe operating behaviours, proficiency and best-practice equipment application.
· Build preventative maintenance awareness—help operators recognise early indicators of wear, understand componentry damage prevention.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with crew personal, supervisors and client as required, provide timely feedback.
· Represent MSA and our clients with strong personal presentation, respect and a solutions-focused attitude.
· Understand client site requirements and tailor delivery that align with site standards, procedures and operating conditions.
WHAT WE OFFER

Induction training of your job description -roles and responsibilities prior to going to site.
Pretraining in the use of digital resource deliverables to support site training requirements such as,
- SOPs in Animations
- VR – Practical Task Courses
- Tablet usage – Operator Observations -Animations
- Tablet and company email
- Ongoing Support-Site Training
- Even time rosters: Various options available dependent on job roles
- Day shift only (12-hour shifts)
- Accommodation and meals provided as required (QLD Coalfields)
- Permanent and flexible casual positions
