Full Job Description

Southern Institute of Early Learning and Leadership (SIELL) is a Registered Training Organisation that provides excellence in training and assessment services to both domestic and international students. We offer VET courses in Childcare and Leadership and Management. SIELL is located in Sydney CBD and Phillip, Canberra. Our main purpose is to make the learning experience in Australia extraordinary!

SIELL is dedicated to maintaining strong academic standards while supporting students in developing practical skills, advancing their careers, and achieving professional outcomes aligned with their chosen study pathways.

Work location will be in SIELL ACT Campus.

Job Description

The Receptionist / Administration Assistant plays a key role in supporting daily college operations, coordinating communications, and maintaining accurate student documentation in line with organisational requirements.

Duties

Duties of a Receptionist/ Administration Assistant can vary:

Responding to enquiries in person, via phone, and by email
Performing general administrative tasks including filing, typing, copying, scanning, and document preparation
Assisting with student applications, enrolments, intakes, and orientation activities
Managing and monitoring the student attendance system and maintaining accurate records for statutory reporting requirements
Updating and maintaining student information within the student management system
Organising and maintaining student academic and administrative files
Supporting the coordination of student registration and induction processes
Undertaking general office duties as required

To be successful you will have:

Ability to manage multiple tasks with flexibility and efficiency
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with effective time management abilities
Proficient computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Other:

The ability to communicate in more than one language is highly regarded, supporting effective engagement with a diverse international student cohort

This is an entry-level position. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided for successful candidates without prior experience in an educational environment.
