The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused on
supporting Victorians to be as healthy as they can; whether through alerting them to seasonal risks like thunderstorm asthma, notifying them of contact with
communicable diseases, safeguarding their drinking water, developing the best health, wellbeing and care facilities in the world, being at the forefront of mental health and
wellbeing treatment or accelerating medical research. It’s all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.

About the role:

The Communications and Events Adviser plans and delivers professional, high-quality events and communications for departmental programs. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality events that support the Department of Health strategic priorities and stakeholder engagement objectives. The role provides end-to end event management, including planning, logistics, stakeholder coordination and event delivery. You will also produce high quality event documentation, including event briefings, logistical information and run sheets, in line with agreed event processes and templates.

About you:

Plan, coordinate and deliver high-quality events and develop engaging written content and event collateral across a range of channels and audiences.
Excellent communication skills, project management skills and ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong experience in Communications, Event Management, Public Affairs, Journalism, or related area would be highly regarded.
Degree in Communications, Event Management, Public Affairs, Journalism, or related field would be desirable.
