Full Job Description

Accounting firm in Port Macquarie seeking an office administrator / receptionist. The position is full-time; however, we are flexible with this. We are looking for an office person who is committed to a career in administration and client / customer support in a pleasant environment.

Using your admin skills, you will provide support to the accountants and ensure that a range of tasks are completed on time. You will also provide reception duties by answering telephones, emails and greeting our friendly clients who regularly attend our office.

Ideal candidate:

Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills are non-negotiable
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines
Strong computer and typing skills
Previous Reception and Customer Service Experience
Friendly and welcoming manner and professional presentation
Engaging personality that will see you attending to client queries rather than deferring them to others in the firm
Sound knowledge in the Microsoft office suite
Willingness to learn, show initiative and be a positive and proactive team player
Current Driver's License is required for occasional errands

Desirable:

Experience in an accounting firm
Experience in accounting software packages, Xero, MYOB, etc
Familiarity with ATO Portal and general ATO correspondence

Duties and responsibilities

Collating tax returns for presentation to clients in hard copy and electronic format
Answering email and telephone queries and following up responses with the accountants
Collecting and processing incoming and outgoing mail
Electronic Lodgements
Receiving payments from clients and reconciling EFTPOS Receipts
Workflow management
Preparing documents and interview packs for accountants' meetings with client
Scanning and filing
Maintaining Office Appearance
Grocery and stationery orders
Other tasks as required to assist the Office Manager, the Principal, accountants and clients

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Port Macquarie NSW 2444: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
