To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Quaker Oats team.
This role consists of analysing oat production samples against product specifications, release compliant product to market and support the quality team.

On the job training for first 2-4 weeks

Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm)

Rotating roster after training completed: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week2: 10pm – 6am

Responsibilities:
- Collect samples to perform sensory evaluation, compliance testing and sample analysis
-
Action out of specification results for any noncomplying product as per procedure.

Check all calibrations and maintenance associated with analytical equipment – in-line, laboratory, and production areas in accordance with Quality Dept requirements

Perform Quality audits and Safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards.

Actively engage with internal stakeholders to perform troubleshooting exercises to prevent any non-compliance. Manage Laboratory waste and systems

Comply with all PepsiCo Policies to ensure the highest quality of food is produced
Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Food Science and technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques is desired but not essential.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing or a laboratory environment (particularly in grain industry) is desirable but not essential

Ability to communicate, with strong attention to detail and excellent time maangement skills

Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
