Full -t ime , C ontinuing roles ( with multiple vacancies available)

Utilise your expert knowledge to deliver timely responses to general enquiries in a fast-moving environment

Must be available 5-days a week on campus, travel to multiple Sydney campuses, and through the University seasonal break

Base Salary $ 86,360 + 17% superannuation

A bout the opportunity

The Student Centre is the first point of contact for prospective students, current students, internal stakeholders and the general public to receive advice, assistance and support on student administration related enquiries and transactions. The Student Centre Assistant is an essential member of the Student Centre team, responsible for responding to enquiries and effectively diagnosing more complex matters. This includes the accurate and timely provision of information within a high-volume and service - centric environment including, face - to - face, email, and phone channels.

Y our key responsibilities will be :

s erving as the first point of contact for a diverse student community of over 70,000, providing accurate and timely guidance across a wide range of enquiries

s upporting students throughout their journey , f rom application through to graduation , ensuring a positive and seamless experience

d elivering high-quality support across multiple channels, including in-person, email, and phone, within a high-volume service environment

c ontributing to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting service design enhancements and participating in ongoing training and development .

About you

strong and well developed organisational , time management and prioritisation skills to manage conflicting service and administrative tasks

experience in providing quality customer service and the ability to add-value in responding to enquiries online, over the phone and in-person

the ability to apply common sense, sound judgement, sensitivity to individual circumstances, and maintain a high level of confidentiality

experience and a capacity to analyse , identify and solve problems independently and in teams whilst working within a clear set of protocols and guidelines

proven ability to work in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility of task allocations as required to meet service demands and conducting themselves with respect for others at all times .

This role requires flexibility and a strong on-site presence. You will be required to travel across Sydney campuses and potentially the wider region to support operational needs , including but not limited to Camperdown, Darlington, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Parramatta, and Westmead campuses. . This is a fully campus-based position, working five days per week on-site. In addition, availability to work through the University’s seasonal period is essential to ensure continuity of service for our student community.
