The Role
We are seeking a passionate
Associate or
Senior Associate to join our Medical Law practice in our Perth CBD-based office on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Legal Practice Director, you will manage a diverse caseload of medical negligence.
This role suits a plaintiff-focused lawyer with strong litigation fundamentals who is looking to build or continue a career in medical negligence. Prior medical law experience is advantageous but not essential, provided you bring strong foundational litigation capability.
With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll truly champion our clients by:
- Effectively assessing and strategically managing complex medical negligence matters, accurately weighing risk and driving strong commercial outcomes.
- Providing clear legal advice and end-to-end representation in high stakes claims to secure maximum compensation for our clients.
- Building trusted client relationships through clear communication and proactive management of expectations in sensitive matters.
- Independently running a caseload, preparing complex legal documentation with precision and maintaining strong cost and recoverability oversight.
- Coaching junior legal team members, and working collaboratively with paralegal and administration support staff.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
- A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.
- Strong working knowledge of Western Australian personal injury law and procedure.
- Experience litigating, with exposure to medical negligence matters desirable but not essential - we will support the right lawyer to build this expertise.
- Well-developed analytical skills, including the ability to assess complex evidence and identify issues of causation.
- An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo, and always stay ahead of the pack.
- A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
- The passion, motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to our culture and ensure it’s a place where everyone can thrive.

We offer:
- Opportunity to reach your potential via clear career pathways.
- Competitive remuneration, including benefits and profit share programs.
- Flexible working arrangements, including work from home options.
- A progressive and supportive working environment, not afraid to pioneer new ways.
