HEAD CHEF – MARINA MOOLOOLABA

Lead the kitchen of Mooloolaba’s newest waterfront dining and events destination.

Marina Mooloolaba (previously knows as Pier 33) is preparing to launch a fresh new chapter on the Mooloolaba Marina, bringing together exceptional dining, unforgettable weddings, corporate events and celebrations in one of the Sunshine Coast’s most sought-after waterfront locations.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary vision and build a high-performing kitchen team from the ground up.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the food offering of a brand-new venue and leave your mark on an exciting hospitality concept.

You will be responsible for:

Developing and delivering seasonal menus
Leading and mentoring the kitchen team
Managing food costs, stock control and supplier relationships
Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards
Creating memorable dining and event experiences
Ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace standards
Collaborating with management on the overall direction and growth of the venue

About You

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Passion for fresh, locally sourced produce
Experience in both à la carte and event catering operations
Commercially minded with strong cost-control experience
Creative, organised and driven by excellence
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to work well under pressure with both BOH & FOH
