Lead the kitchen of Mooloolaba’s newest waterfront dining and events destination.
Marina Mooloolaba (previously knows as Pier 33) is preparing to launch a fresh new chapter on the Mooloolaba Marina, bringing together exceptional dining, unforgettable weddings, corporate events and celebrations in one of the Sunshine Coast’s most sought-after waterfront locations.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary vision and build a high-performing kitchen team from the ground up.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to shape the food offering of a brand-new venue and leave your mark on an exciting hospitality concept.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering seasonal menus
- Leading and mentoring the kitchen team
- Managing food costs, stock control and supplier relationships
- Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation standards
- Creating memorable dining and event experiences
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and workplace standards
- Collaborating with management on the overall direction and growth of the venue
About You
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Passion for fresh, locally sourced produce
- Experience in both à la carte and event catering operations
- Commercially minded with strong cost-control experience
- Creative, organised and driven by excellence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work well under pressure with both BOH & FOH
