As Doltone House continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced culinary professional to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation for premium events.

Your main responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks across multiple kitchen sections.
Support senior chefs during event pre-production, service and pack-down.
Prepare ingredients to specification, including bulk prep for large-scale events.
Plating and presentation to ensure consistency and quality during service.
Follow recipes, portion controls and event timelines accurately.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
Assist with stock rotation, labelling and storage in line with food safety standards.
Set up and break down kitchen stations for on-site and off-site events.
Take direction from senior chefs and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop skills.

Your attributes:

Eagerness to learn and further develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Calm and composed under pressure, particularly during large-scale or time-sensitive service
Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality.

Your experience:

Proven experience as a Commis/Demi Chef is essential.
Previous experience working within events, catering or banqueting kitchens is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills with experience in pre-production, bulk preparation and event execution.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation across relevant sections.
Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
Experience with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste.
