Microvellum Drafter Commercial Joinery

About Us

Elm Commercial Joinery is a new and ambitious commercial joinery company focused on delivering high-quality projects across offices, education, healthcare, laboratories and commercial fit-outs. We are building a modern, technology-driven business with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency and long-term relationships.

We’re looking for an experienced Microvellum Drafter to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering accurate shop drawings and manufacturing-ready documentation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for producing detailed shop drawings, manufacturing documentation and CNC-ready outputs using Microvellum.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed shop drawings for commercial joinery projects.
Develop manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Generate CNC-ready files using Microvellum.
Prepare cutting lists, hardware schedules and material take-offs.
Coordinate with estimators, project managers and site teams.
Review architectural and interior design drawings.
Resolve design and construction issues before production.
Maintain drawing revisions and document control.
Assist in developing and improving Microvellum standards and libraries.

About You

You will have:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial joinery drafting.
Strong Microvellum experience (essential).
Good understanding of cabinet construction methods and manufacturing.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
High attention to detail.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience with AutoCAD is highly regarded.
