About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to contribute to ASC’s Multiclass Sustainment (MCS) journey by supporting the delivery of long-term, sustainable improvements across technology, processes and people. The role plays a key part in enabling the successful development and delivery of the MCS ICT Strategy, aligning closely with the organisation’s broader MCS Program.
Working within the MCS and S&TO teams, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on building and delivering ICT capability across the MCS Program. As a member of a team of Business Analysts, you will work closely with a range of stakeholders and specialist roles to identify opportunities, drive improvements and support the delivery of benefits that contribute to strategic outcomes.
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will help shape and enhance business capabilities while supporting meaningful complex program change.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in South Australia or our Henderson site in Western Australia.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of transformation outcomes by applying business analysis expertise across a range of improvement initiatives, including:
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, gather requirements and support the delivery of sustainable improvements across processes, technology and ways of working.
- Apply practical business analysis methods to support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring solutions are structured, scalable and aligned to strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional specialists in areas such as Business Intelligence, Continuous Improvement, Agile and Project Management to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Support the development and uplift of ASC’s improvement capability by contributing to frameworks, methodologies and best practice approaches to change.
- Work with data and reporting teams to ensure accurate data capture, usage and insights that support decision-making, performance monitoring and value generation.
- Engage, influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear updates, facilitating two-way communication and supporting adoption of change initiatives.
About you
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or complex project environment.
- Exposure to defence or highly regulated industries is desirable, with an understanding of structured governance and delivery requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Business or Commerce.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse business processes, gather and translate requirements, and align business needs with practical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, ask insightful questions and present findings in a clear, concise and meaningful way.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Naturally inquisitive, with a proactive approach to seeking information, challenging assumptions and driving outcomes.
- Experience working collaboratively within small teams and cross-functional environments.
- Exposure to a range of digital tools is desirable, including Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, and Power BI.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
