About the Role:

Samuel Hydrovac Pty Ltd is a growing hydro excavation business servicing civil, construction, and utility projects across the Central West. We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, understands working around live services and wants consistent work with a local company.

Key responsibilities are to operate a hydrovac truck for:

Potholing / service locating
Trenching and non-destructive digging
Vacuum recovery and clean-ups
Stormwater drain jetting
Pressure washing of roofs, buildings and paths

You will also be responsible for:

Safely working around underground services (gas, water, electrical, communications)
Completing pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and daily logs
Follow SWMS, JSA, and site safety requirements
Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and spotters
Maintaining a clean and professional truck and worksite

Requirements

Hr licence
Previous hydrovac or vacuum truck experience preferred
White Card (construction induction)
Understanding of underground services and safe digging practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Physically fit and willing to work outdoors
Strong focus on safety and attention to detail

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience with high pressure water drain jetters
Confined spaces or working at heights tickets
