About the Role:
Samuel Hydrovac Pty Ltd is a growing hydro excavation business servicing civil, construction, and utility projects across the Central West. We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, understands working around live services and wants consistent work with a local company.
Key responsibilities are to operate a hydrovac truck for:
- Potholing / service locating
- Trenching and non-destructive digging
- Vacuum recovery and clean-ups
- Stormwater drain jetting
- Pressure washing of roofs, buildings and paths
You will also be responsible for:
- Safely working around underground services (gas, water, electrical, communications)
- Completing pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and daily logs
- Follow SWMS, JSA, and site safety requirements
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and spotters
- Maintaining a clean and professional truck and worksite
Requirements
- Hr licence
- Previous hydrovac or vacuum truck experience preferred
- White Card (construction induction)
- Understanding of underground services and safe digging practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with high pressure water drain jetters
- Confined spaces or working at heights tickets
