About the Centre
Numurkah Aquatic and Fitness Centre is a community-focused facility managed by Y Victoria, offering a variety of fitness, swim and recreation programs. The centre features a gym with a range of equipment, personal training, group fitness classes, swimming lessons for all ages and levels, school swimming programs, and three squash courts available for hire and casual use. Located at 184 Melville Street, Numurkah, the centre supports the local community to stay active, healthy and confident in and around the water.
About the role
As a Duty Manager at Numurkah Aquatic and Fitness Centre you will have delegated authority of the Centre Manager, and will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing a range of centre functions whilst on shift which may include;

Maintaining a focus on ‘Big Picture’ issues Centre wide

Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Centre’s Emergency Action Plan

Working autonomously as well as being an active leader
This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $40.38 + superannuation + Y benefits.
About you
As a Duty Manager you will act as positive role model in an effort to build strong people, strong families and strong communities, as well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and all facility users.
Essential Qualifications
- Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
-
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
Other Desired Qualifications or Knowledge
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation is an advantage

Previous experience in a similar facility in a supervisory role is desirable
