Voyages Tourism Australia offers experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations, including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre and tourism facilities in Mossman Gorge, located in tropical Queensland.

This role is located at our office in Sydney, which serves as a central hub, providing support to our operational teams based in our two locations.

We are seeking a highly organised, process-driven, and detail-oriented accounting professional with previous experience in hospitality and tourism finance to join our Finance Team as an Assistant Accountant. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, assist with month-end processes, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day management of accounting operations across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic finance professional looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key duties:

Perform booking system reconciliations to ensure accurate integration of financial information into Business Central (BC) and investigate any discrepancies.
Assist with month end close activities, including the preparation and posting of journals, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and outstanding items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Support daily finance operations, including bank reconciliations.

To be successful for this role you will have:

Prior experience as an Assistant Accountant
CA/CPA Qualified or working towards
Experience within “Business Central” (BC) accounting systems, Opera Property Management System (PMS), Shiji POS and Rezdy are well regarded
