About the role

This is a full-time opportunity for an Optical Dispenser to join the team at Ian Donald Optometrist in Manly NSW. As an Optical Dispenser, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting patients in selecting the perfect frames and lenses to meet their visual needs.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice in a friendly and professional manner
Conducting frame and lens consultations to understand each patient's individual requirements
Providing knowledgeable advice on frame styles, lens options and lens coatings
Accurately measuring and fitting frames and lenses to each patient's specifications
Processing and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery of eyewear
Maintaining a tidy and organised dispensary to create a positive customer experience
Liaising with the optometrists to ensure patient needs are met
Providing outstanding customer service and fostering loyal patient relationships

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 years' experience as an Optical Dispenser or in a similar customer-facing role within the optical industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately measure and fit frames and lenses
Working knowledge of optical products, lens types and coatings
Passion for helping patients find the perfect eyewear solution
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
Relevant optical dispensing qualification or training
