As our team continues to grow, we're looking for a Workforce Planning Officer to join us and play a key role in delivering world-class events across our iconic venues.
Adelaide Venue Management (AVM) is South Australia’s leading provider of venue management services. It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide’s most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC), and Coopers Stadium (CS), in addition to functions and events at The Drive (TD).

The Role
As the Workforce Planning Officer, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and implementing employee rosters for AVM’s casual workforce across all venues. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of event-related services by developing cost-efficient rosters, managing team member availability, and collaborating across departments to meet event demands. Your daily responsibilities will involve balancing staffing levels, managing adjustments, and communicating effectively with team members and other internal teams. Please note this is a 6-month permanent part-time 0.8 FTE contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Roster Creation & Implementation: Develop, update, and implement cost-effective rosters to ensure the smooth delivery of all events and services across AVM venues.
Out-of-Hours Adjustments: Manage roster changes and adjustments during out-of-hours periods to meet operational needs.
Cross-Department Communication: Work closely with various departments across all three AVM venues, ensuring timely communication and efficient coordination of rostering changes.
Employee Liaison: Communicate regularly with team members to address queries, resolve concerns, and confirm availability for shifts.
External Labour Providers: Maintain relationships with external labour hire services to source additional staff during peak periods.
Employee Activity Tracking: Monitor and maintain an active register of employee activity, including cancellations, sick leave, or unexplained absences within the casual pool.

You are highly organised with exceptional time management skills to keep operations running smoothly.
You have demonstrated experience in workforce scheduling or rostering, with a solid understanding of industrial instruments such as Enterprise Agreements and Award provisions.
You are open to working outside of normal business hours when needed to accommodate the dynamic nature of event scheduling.
