Primary objective
Provide specialist and effective service delivery pertaining to supply chain operations covering all areas of the East Arnhem Region.

The position includes a significant amount of manual handling and requires a self-starter, with strong attention to detail and
problem-solving skills, committed to performing to achieve outcomes within strict timelines
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Processing of stock requests from various areas including picking, packing, invoicing and delivery of the items in a timely manner.
2. Support the minimum desired level of supplies at the Hospital and in the Gove Warehouse through the imprest and using the
Barcode Scanning system.
3. Assist with the delivery to and collection of items from barge landing including receipting of purchase orders and coding of
invoices.
4. Work with Clinical Nurse Managers and other hospital staff to support their stock holdings, including, rotation, ordering and
storage.
5. Assist in maintaining the inventory management system to monitor stock levels, process requests, and conduct regular and
annual audits.
6. Assist in maintaining warehouse standards through regular cleaning, maintenance tasks, and adherence to safety schedules.
7. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken
in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
8. Foster a positive workplace culture and maintain strong relationships with all staff, external agencies and outside suppliers,
through exemplary work practices and role modelling behaviour.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Practical experience and in detailed knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures.
2. Demonstrated work experience in stock management type computer applications.
3. Ability to perform physical and clerical and other manual handling duties.
4. Hold a current unrestricted Forklift Licence and Light Rigid Drivers Licence or ability to secure within two months of
commencing position.
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively organise and manage own workload and conflicting deadlines.
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, take direction and contribute to the organisations core values.
7. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, across a broad and varied stakeholder group, including an ability to interact
effectively with people from diverse cultures, and in the

1. Work experience in the health system, including working at a Hospital or within the Primary Health Care environment
