Full Job Description

Hawkesbury Hydraulics, based in South Windsor, is an established hydraulic and pneumatic business providing quality products and services to a wide range of industries. We specialise in the supply, servicing, and repair of hydraulic equipment, supporting customers across the industrial, earthmoving, and rural sectors. We are eager to welcome a new, exceptional team member to join us immediately. We are seeking a Hydraulic Fitter for our South Windsor location.

The position is full-time and requires working Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with rotating Saturday roster from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

This is a full-time role based at our South Windsor location, where you will assist customers with their Hydraulic parts.

Specific duties include:

Dissembling and assembling parts of machinery to identify suitable hydraulic and pneumatic parts and fittings, to ensure machinery functions per customers’ specifications.
Provide high-quality Hydraulic service to clients
The ability to diagnose faults efficiently and determine the appropriate course of action.
High level of communication skills, love dealing with clients, confident and focused.
Excellent operational skills and ability to self-manage your time and workflow while meeting all company objectives and standards.
Serve customers face to face and incoming phone or email enquires
Assist with receiving and dispatching goods
Sales – proactively increase sales with business development of new and existing customers.
Stock management and merchandising

Experience:

Knowledge of hydraulic components with basic understanding of how to disassemble, assemble and test.
Application of Hydraulic fittings, hose and tube work.
Knowledge of component application, operation and function is preferred.
Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering / Fitting principles
Previous mechanical fitting or machining experience is recommended; however, we are also open to a junior candidate who can demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop their skills.

Skills required:

Medium-level communication skills, written & verbal.
Basic computer skills
Ability to work unsupervised and learn new products and processes.
Ability to liaise with other departmental colleagues involved with Repairs and Remanufacture
Ability to gain understanding of component application, hydraulic circuitry, operation, and function.
Time management skills
Ability to develop detailed knowledge of product range
Product and technical knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
