We’re seeking for an experienced Operations Supervisor/Process Assistant to join the team for the upcoming launch of our brand new Fulfillment Center at Moorebank.
The Process Assistant will support the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to your process path which may include receive, stow, pick, pack or ship.
Key job responsibilities:
- Safety: Champion a culture of safety by conducting safety audits, ensuring compliance with all EHS standards, and escalating hazards or incidents immediately.
- People Leadership: Direct, coach, and develop a team of T1 Associates across the shift; deliver performance feedback, manage attendance, and support engagement initiatives.
- Operational Execution: Own floor execution of the stow process including receive-to-stow SLA adherence, bin utilisation, and stow quality (defect rate, DPMO).
- Performance Management: Monitor real-time KPIs (stow rate, units per hour, bin compliance) and take corrective action to meet plan targets.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve process barriers (e.g. bin full, system errors, ASIN restrictions, equipment downtime) using root cause analysis.
- Standard Work: Ensure Associates follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) including bin audits, hazmat segregation, and ICQA compliance.
- Communication: Deliver clear written and verbal communication; relay critical updates from AM/Ops and escalate issues through the appropriate channels.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify waste in the stow process and contribute to kaizen/CI initiatives to improve throughput, quality, or safety outcomes.
- Experience leading teams
- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
- Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
- Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Leadership experience directly managing others
- Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
