The GM Digital is a senior leadership role that reflects the scale, complexity, and ambition of SARAH & SEBASTIAN’s digital vision.
Acting as both commercial architect and
brand custodian, you will shape the future of luxury digital clienteling and commerce across every digital touchpoint.
Operating at the intersection of brand,
commerce and technology, this role holds
strategic andoperational accountability for
eCommerce, performance marketing,
customer experience, and the digital systems and AI transformation agenda. You will lead a small, high-performing team across these verticals (currently three direct reports), with a strong expectation of hands-on leadership, prioritisation, and execution.
You will drive the evolution from transactional digital commerce to a more proactive,
relationship-led luxury clienteling experience, improving high net worth customer acquisition and conversion,
supporting international expansion, and
delivering a seamless, elevated customer
journey across owned digital channels.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-
Strategic Leadership & Vision: Own &
deliver the multi-market ecommerce & omni channel strategy, translating business objectives into digital trade plans with measurable KPIs. -
Digital Trade & Revenue Growth: Hold full accountability for the digital P&L, responsible for delivering growth targets
across ecommerce & omni channel. Drive
planning & optimisation of the trading calendar, campaign activations, CRO, &
customer journey mapping. -
Performance Marketing & Data Strategy: Direct the performance marketing
function (paid media, SEM, paid social,
EDM), overseeing agency relationships,
budget allocation, & a robust reporting system to track metrics like ROAS, CPA, &
MER. Champion data integrity & analytics. -
International Expansion: Lead the strategic growth of international ecommerce markets through tailored performance marketing, digital campaigns, & regional site optimisation. Define market-entry strategies for new regions.

Client Experience Oversight: Oversee the shift of Customer Experience from
reactive customer service to a high-touch, proactive clienteling function.
Elevate service standards and embed
digital innovation across automation and omni channel support to improve consistency, efficiency, and experience. -
Digital Systems Transformation & AI Integration: Oversee the roadmap &
execution of digital infrastructure upgrades & platform integrations. Identify & implement opportunities for AI to enhance operational efficiency across
ecommerce, customer service, & digital marketing, championing an AI-enabled operating model.
ABOUT YOU
Essential:

12+ years in senior digital or ecommerce leadership roles.

Demonstrated success in building & scaling global ecommerce operations.

Proven leadership of high-performing multi-disciplinary digital teams of more than 10 staff.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing,or a related field.

Deep expertise in digital commerce ecosystems including platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus), CDPs, CRMs & analytical tools (e.g. GA4, Looker, Triple Whale).
- Advanced commercial acumen with P&L ownership experience across digital
channels. -
Proven capability in omni-channel strategy development & execution.

Experience transforming digital strategy into commercial growth outcomes, including leading cross-functional digital transformation programs & integrating AI-enabled systems.

Desirable:

MBA or postgraduate qualifications in
Digital Strategy, eCommerce, or
Leadership. -
Experience in luxury, high-growth,
or digitally native vertical brands. -
Familiarity with martech stack
optimisation & automation workflows. -
Executive level stakeholder engagement experience.
