As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, providing valuable support to nursing staff while helping deliver exceptional patient experiences. What You Will Be Doing

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to support the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility and comfort.
Supporting patients throughout their hospital stay and promoting their independence where appropriate.
Assisting nursing staff with routine clinical and non-clinical tasks within your scope of practice.
Monitoring and reporting changes in patients' condition to the supervising nurse.
Assisting with patient transfers, admissions and discharge processes.
Preparing patient areas and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
Working collaboratively with nurses, medical officers, allied health professionals, patients and families to support positive patient outcomes.

This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of medical and surgical presentations while providing valuable experience within a supportive acute care environment.

Essential Requirements

Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistant in Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
Ability to work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, respectful and patient-centred approach to care.
Commitment to teamwork and providing high-quality support to patients and colleagues.
