About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator who will join our established team and support our growing pipeline of projects across remote Australia and the Pacific.
This position would suit a well-rounded, tech savvy Estimator who enjoys developing accurate cost plans and participating in the full tender process.
Reporting to the General Manager - Construction, you will work closely with our project and bid management teams to produce competitive tenders, prepare cost estimates (large and small) and support the business in securing future works across Australia and the Pacific.
What You'll Be Doing

Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions in line with company standards
- Building first-principles estimates across all trades, including hydraulic and electrical
- Analysing drawings, specifications and scopes of work, and performing take-offs
- Engaging suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to secure competitive pricing
- Preparing supplier workpacks and coordinating the return of quotes and pricing
- Reviewing and developing estimating templates, tools and workflows
- Leading the implementation and adoption of a revitalised internal or external estimating tool
What You'll Bring

5+ years' estimating experience within civil, infrastructure or commercial construction (regional or remote project experience highly regarded)
- Strong first-principles estimating capability and sound commercial acumen
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with confidence building BOMs and cost plans from the ground up
- Familiarity with estimating software and take-off/markup tools (e.g. Bluebeam), and a keen interest in digital improvement
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a geographically dispersed team
- A tertiary qualification in Building & Construction, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or similar (desirable)
- A current C class driver's licence
