This role suits an experienced/qualified sewing machinist.

Responsible for producing high-quality sewn products, using industrial sewing machines and related equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to meeting production schedules and quality standards.

The machinist plays a key role in creating custom-made products such as covers, awnings, tarps, shades, and other textile-based items used across various industries.

Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble, join, hem, or repair textile products.
Interpret work orders, design patterns, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
Select appropriate materials, threads, needles, and machine settings for each job.
Measure, cut, and align fabric to meet design specifications.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with company standards.
Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning, minor repairs, and troubleshooting.
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and output targets.
Follow workplace health and safety guidelines at all times.
Record production activities, materials used, and job completion data accurately.
Assist with inventory control of fabrics, threads, and other materials.
Suggest improvements to sewing techniques, processes, and workflow efficiency.
