About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Hair Stylist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your hairdressing expertise in a professional salon environment located in Red Hill, ACT 2603. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional hair services to our diverse clientele, whilst maintaining the high standards and reputation that Bentleys Hair is known for within the community.

Key responsibilities

Provide a full range of hair styling services, including cuts, colours, treatments and styling for clients of all hair types
Consult with clients to understand their requirements, preferences and hair care goals, offering professional advice and recommendations
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and ensure the salon environment is clean, organised and welcoming
Use professional hairdressing techniques and products to deliver quality results that exceed client expectations
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and positive word-of-mouth referrals
Keep up-to-date with current hair trends, techniques and industry best practices
Manage your appointment schedule efficiently and ensure punctuality for all client bookings
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and sterilisation procedures
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues to deliver excellent customer service

What we’re looking for

A recognised hairdressing qualification or apprenticeship completion
Proficiency in a wide range of hairdressing techniques, including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
A keen eye for detail and understanding of current hair trends and styles
Excellent time management and organisational abilities
Professional presentation and commitment to health and safety standards
A passion for delivering high-quality customer service and creating a positive salon experience
Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, which may include some weekend and evening availability
