About the role
We are seeking a talented and creative Hair Stylist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your hairdressing expertise in a professional salon environment located in Red Hill, ACT 2603. As a Hair Stylist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional hair services to our diverse clientele, whilst maintaining the high standards and reputation that Bentleys Hair is known for within the community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a full range of hair styling services, including cuts, colours, treatments and styling for clients of all hair types
- Consult with clients to understand their requirements, preferences and hair care goals, offering professional advice and recommendations
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and ensure the salon environment is clean, organised and welcoming
- Use professional hairdressing techniques and products to deliver quality results that exceed client expectations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat bookings and positive word-of-mouth referrals
- Keep up-to-date with current hair trends, techniques and industry best practices
- Manage your appointment schedule efficiently and ensure punctuality for all client bookings
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and sterilisation procedures
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
What we’re looking for
- A recognised hairdressing qualification or apprenticeship completion
- Proficiency in a wide range of hairdressing techniques, including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- A keen eye for detail and understanding of current hair trends and styles
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Professional presentation and commitment to health and safety standards
- A passion for delivering high-quality customer service and creating a positive salon experience
- Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, which may include some weekend and evening availability
