Full Job Description

We are a newly established construction company based in regional Victoria. We provide comprehensive housing solutions, committed to delivering higher-quality, more affordable, and sustainable homes for families in rural Australia, as well as warehouses and commercial premises. Thanks to the trust of our existing clients, the company is growing and seeking a full-time Construction Estimator for our Mildura office.

About the position

Handle all building estimating tasks
Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions for residential and commercial projects.
Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate pricing and budgets.
Assess supplier and subcontractor quotations and prepare cost comparisons.
Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost forecasts throughout project delivery.·
Identify cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
Assist in pricing HomeKit installation, smart home automation, drainage, renovation, and other building projects.

About you

At least two years of experience in residential estimating.
Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, tender pricing, and cost estimation.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building documentation.
Experience reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations and supporting procurement activities.
Ability to identify cost risks, pricing discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple estimating tasks and deadlines.
Experience in residential and infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
Previous site supervision or construction delivery experience will be highly regarded.
Mechanical engineering background or experience with equipment-based construction works will be highly regarded.
