About the role:

An excellent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Social Worker to join the Allied Health department. This role provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in different areas of public health and is supported by a structured supervision program focussing on reflective practice, ongoing professional development and learning. In addition to this, the position enables social work career progression through opportunities for further learning and participation in team and departmental activities.

Key responsibilities:

Provide a timely response to referrals, through performing evidence based clinical services using a person-centred approach in the development of an appropriate treatment plan
Participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary team to enable safe discharge and facilitate patient flow.
Ensure safe and high-quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies.
Participate in relevant committees, working groups and meetings as required.

About you:

Bachelor/Master of Social Work degree and eligibility for AASW membership
Sound interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills
Computer literacy
Current Working with Children Check
