We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supplier & Category Coordinator to join our Procurement & Sustainability team on a full-time basis at Caulfield Racecourse.
This role is all about connecting the dots behind the scenes, working across supplier relationships, procurement initiatives and data insights to help drive smarter, more strategic decisions across the business. You’ll play a key role in supporting projects that improve the way we source, partner and operate across the Club.

In The Saddle

Support sourcing and procurement initiatives through supplier insights, spend analysis and category reporting.

Coordinate RFQ/RFP processes, supplier communications and contract documentation across the procurement lifecycle.

Keep supplier contracts, renewals and key documentation organised and running smoothly.

Prepare dashboards and reporting that help track supplier performance, costs and procurement outcomes.

Partner with stakeholders across the business to support procurement projects, supplier engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist with supplier governance activities, including sustainability assessments, compliance tracking and procurement reporting.
Your Track Record
-
3 years’ experience in contract administration, vendor management or procurement operations (hospitality, events or other regulated sectors preferred)

Proven experience setting up or managing a central supplier database and tracking supplier performance using a structured framework

Working knowledge of the Australian Modern Slavery Act, Fair-Work procurement clauses, and ISO-certified supplier environments (9001, 14001, 45001)

Practical exposure to category analytics, spend analysis, and supplier-performance reporting (internships acceptable)

Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external teams

High attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused approach

Understanding of procurement governance, compliance or supplier risk frameworks

Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with systems and data
You’ll stand out if you have:
- Degree or diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.

Ongoing or completed professional accreditation (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
