We are a growing Australian dry powder health supplement manufacturing business looking for an organised, proactive and commercially minded person to join our team and take ownership of our supply chain and raw material purchasing.
This role would suit someone who is confident communicating with suppliers, enjoys negotiating, and has excellent attention to detail.
About the role
You will be responsible for helping manage our raw material supply chain from supplier communication through to ordering, pricing and delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Sourcing and following up raw materials and ingredients
* Communicating with local and international suppliers
* Requesting and comparing supplier quotes
* Negotiating the best possible pricing on raw materials
* Monitoring stock levels and identifying upcoming purchasing requirements
* Following up purchase orders and expected delivery dates
* Ensuring ingredients arrive on time to support production schedules
* Maintaining accurate supplier, pricing and purchasing records
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
* Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve purchasing efficiency
* Liaising with our production team to ensure materials are available when required
* General supply chain and purchasing administration
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
* Highly organised and extremely reliable
* Confident negotiating prices and dealing with suppliers
* Excellent at following things up and getting answers
* Strong with numbers and attention to detail
* Proactive and able to work independently
* Comfortable using email, spreadsheets and basic computer systems
* Commercially minded and always looking for ways to save costs
* Experienced in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or manufacturing (preferred but not essential)
Hours
4 hours per day, Monday–Friday (20 hours per week).
We are flexible on the exact hours for the right person.
