Full Job Description

RMS Sheetmetal is part of the RMS Manufacturing Group, a leader in electrical switchboard and sheetmetal fabrication. Known for high-quality workmanship, innovation and customer service, we continue to grow to meet the needs of our clients across Australia.

We are currently looking for an experienced Trade-Qualified Welder (First Class) to join our team at our Deer Park facility on a full time permanent basis, manufacturing high-quality electrical enclosures and custom sheetmetal solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

MIG welding of mild steel sheetmetal (aluminium and stainless-steel experience is a bonus)
Sanding, grinding, and prepping welded components for powder coating
Interpreting CAD/fabrication drawings accurately
Manufacturing a variety of custom enclosures in a fast-paced workshop
Collaborating with a skilled and supportive team

What You’ll Bring:

Relevant Trade Qualification or at least 3 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 1-year previous welding experience required
Strong MIG welding experience
Ability to read and work from CAD or shop drawings
Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and in a team
Reliable, punctual and willing to work overtime when required
High motivation and willingness to learn
