Parkville location- close to public transport
$26 and $28 per hour + Super + 25% casual loading
Casual position- Excellent work/life balance

Melbourne Private Hospital is a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital. We offer tertiary referral services in the centre of Parkville. Melbourne Private Hospital offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care to our customers.

As a Food Service Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils including dish and pot washing as required.
Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting a professional and positive team culture.
Provide high standard of customer service
Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

Essential Criteria:

Authority to Work in Australia
Working with Children check
Experience in Hospitality (desirable)
Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable)
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
Excellent time management skills
Commitment to service excellence.
Strong communication and customer skills
Attention to detail
Work well independently and within a team
