About the role
We’re building a small in-house video team for a growing Melbourne streetwear brand and a network of entrepreneurs. We create “day in the life” content, outfit/“larp” videos and clean commercial product ads for clothing and accessories.
We’re hiring both junior content shooters and an experienced commercial videographer on a freelance/casual basis.
What you’ll be filming
- Outfit context / “larp” videos (streetwear fits, lifestyle and movement shots)
- Product feature reels for clothing/apparel (hero product ads, 3‑hour shoots)
- Storytelling and founder narrative videos for the brand owner
- Day-in-the-life vlogs with entrepreneurs and behind-the-scenes content
Positions available
1–2x Junior Content Videographers
- Follow founders and creators during:
- Business meetings
- Casual events
- Day-in-the-life and content days
- Shoot primarily vertical content for TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Capture outfit/“larp” videos and lifestyle content around Melbourne
- Shoot BTS and extra angles on commercial product shoot days
1x Lead Commercial Videographer (Product & Founder)
- Fortnightly 3‑hour product shoot block (Melbourne-based)
- Plan and shoot commercial-style product ads for clothing/apparel
- Set up basic lighting and product scenes for clean, sharp hero shots
- Direct simple founder/story pieces and capture cinematic B‑roll when needed
What we’re looking for
For junior content videographers
- Some experience shooting video (personal projects, freelance or study)
- Own a decent camera set up something like a fx30 or zve 1 level. (camera + lens, audio preferred)
- Comfortable shooting handheld and on the move in public and business settings
- Reliable, punctual and good at communication (DMs, email, phone)
- Basic editing skills in Premiere Pro, Final Cut or CapCut are a plus
For the lead commercial videographer
- Strong portfolio of product, fashion or e‑commerce work (links required)
- Confident with lighting, composition and directing simple product scenes
- Experience shooting commercials or brand campaigns for apparel or similar
- Own professional-level kit suitable for product work
- Able to commit to a recurring 3‑hour shoot block every fortnight
Practical details
- Location: Melbourne-based (must be able to travel to inner suburbs as needed)
- Type: Freelance / casual, ongoing work for the right people
- Availability: Weekdays with occasional evenings/weekends when required
- Rate: Competitive, based on experience and gear (please include your usual day/half-day or 3‑hour rate when applying).
