THE COMPANY

Miepol Pty Ltd is a prominent service provider in the Civil/Construction Industry. Experienced in Civil Construction Infrastructure, Civil Design, Asset Management, Traffic Management and Labour Hire Services.

About the role

We are looking for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson at our depot in West Footscray, VIC due to growth in our operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD and related software
Translate engineering concepts and specifications into accurate technical drawings
Assist engineers and project teams with documentation and drafting support
Review and revise drawings based on feedback and design updates
Ensure all drawings comply with Australian Standards and regulatory requirement
Support constructability reviews by assessing materials, methods, and design parameters
Attend site inspections to verify constructed works against approved design drawings.
Assist engineers in resolving design discrepancies during construction phases.
Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and documentation control across multiple projects.
Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings

Skills and Experience Required

Relevant qualification (Diploma or higher) in Civil Engineering Drafting or related field
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson
Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D or similar software desirable)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to meet deadlines and work both independently and within a team
· Good written and verbal communication skills

Licences

Civil Engineering Qualification or equivalent
Current C (Car) Licence
Construction Site Safety Induction Card (White Card)
