We are seeking a Structural Engineering Draftsperson who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to join an experienced team of Drafters. As a part of a small team with an emphasis on a positive work culture, there is always opportunity for personal and professional growth for the candidate with a can-do mentality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to interpret and understand architectural and structural engineering drawings
- Prepare high-quality 2D shop drawing
- Deliver high-quality 3D models and ensure they are delivered on schedule
- Identify technical issues and suggest solutions
- Check engineering drawings for technical completeness, clarity, conformance with standards, dimensional accuracy and the correct specification of materials and processes.
- Partcipate in mentoring and group training activities where required
- Learn to manage and deliver RFI’s
- Effectively communicate with the English Steel Drafting team in a timely and concise manner
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to team discussions
- Commitment to improve our customer experience
ABOUT YOU
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
We are seeking a candidate with 5 years or more experience in structural steel drafting, experience in the use of modelling software, and a strong willingness to expand their skills and pursue their career aspirations.
Our candidate will be able to work autonomously and in collaboration with our team, and have a strong emphasis on learning and problem-solving.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Diploma of Civil and Structural Engineering or higher.
WE OFFER
This is a permanent fulltime position, salary offered is $80,000 - $98,000 plus superannuation.
Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications.
