The Opportunity:

Full time 0.4 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment.
EDL 1-5 $110,242 - $123,470 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Chadstone Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.

The Allied Health Services and Science (AHSS) Department, within the Faculty of Health, Science, Community and Social Studies, provides a comprehensive range of courses in dental, allied health services and science, from Certificate III through to degree, designed to equip students with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge. The Bachelor of Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene), a Charles Sturt University (CSU) degree delivered at Holmesglen, provides in-depth training for aspiring Oral Health Therapists.

This role combines simulation clinic demonstrating with lecturing and tutorial delivery for Year 1 and Year 2 Oral Health Practice subjects, supporting student academic progress and minimising attrition in the simulation clinic. Working under the guidance of Subject Coordinators and Convenors, and in collaboration with Holmesglen and CSU staff, the role contributes to contemporary teaching and learning methodologies, course materials, assessment marking, and the ongoing development of the Bachelor of Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene) curriculum.

As an Oral Health Sim Clinic Demonstrator & Lecturer, you will:

Provide clinical demonstrating and simulation clinic supervision for Year 1 and Year 2 Oral Health Practice subjects, ensuring the highest standards of delivery and assessment.
Present lectures and tutorials for Year 1 and Year 2 students under the guidance of Subject Coordinators and Convenors.
Assist in the development and delivery of contemporary teaching and learning methodologies that support integrated student learning.
Assist with competency and attendance documentation, reporting on student progress and outcomes in line with CSU delivery requirements.
Contribute to curriculum development, assessment resources, cross-campus moderation, and tutor calibration activities within the Bachelor of Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene).
Develop and maintain effective relationships with industry, professional bodies, CSU staff and the wider community, including contributing to research activities with key industry partners.

To be successful, you’ll have:

Minimum

Degree in Oral Health, Dentistry or approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, including post-graduate qualifications in Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene) or related discipline.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Oral Health Therapist or General Dentist.
WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.

Preferred

Extended scope of practice qualification.
An approved course of adult teacher training accredited at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 6 or above.
