Our role is also supporting people to self-manage long-term health conditions, such as diabetes and mental health challenges, with multidisciplinary teams delivering community-based programs in a comfortable setting. We also support people, including older people and people with disability, to stay living at home longer and to live well in their community.
Our broad range of primary health services, care management and in home and community support services can be tailored to an individual’s needs and with major hubs in Box Hill and Eltham, these services can be delivered locally, in the Eastern and North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
About the Role
This role provides the opportunity to deliver a broad range of oral health services across our Eltham and Box Hill clinics, as well as outreach settings. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment focused on improving oral health outcomes through prevention, education, and clinical excellence.
Depending on your experience and scope of practice, you will:
- Deliver high-quality oral health care within your scope of practice
- Assess, plan and provide treatment for eligible clients
- Participate in oral health promotion and prevention programs
- Work collaboratively with dentists, oral health therapists, dental assistants and other health professionals
- Support positive patient experiences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Work flexibly across sites and community outreach programs
- For Level 2 applicants, opportunities exist to mentor less experienced clinicians and contribute to service development.
About You
You will possess:
Essential
- Bachelor of Oral Health
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Radiation Use Licence
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to public oral health and person-centred care
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience using electronic clinical record systems.
Desirable
- Experience in public or community oral health settings
- Experience working with priority populations and clients with additional needs
- Adult scope or extended scope qualifications
- Experience mentoring or supporting developing clinicians
- Current CPR and/or First Aid certification
