About the Role

Food Services plays a vital role in supporting patient care by delivering safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate meals to patients across the hospital. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to meal preparation, service delivery, food safety and maintaining a clean and efficient food services environment.

This is a hands on role that requires excellent teamwork, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

Prepare, plate and distribute meals and beverages in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
Deliver meal services to patients and collect meal trays efficiently and respectfully.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across food service areas, equipment and workspaces.
Follow safe food handling procedures and cook-chill guidelines.

About You

Safe Food Handling Certificate for the Health Industry (or equivalent).
Certificate III in Health Services Assistance.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
High standards of personal presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail.

Desirable

Previous experience in a food service, hospitality, healthcare or aged care environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with patients and consumers in a compassionate and respectful manner.
