We are now looking for a capable and commercially driven Sales Representative / Business Development Representative who can generate new opportunities from day one.
About the Role
This is a sales role for someone who is confident, proactive, and comfortable creating opportunities from scratch.
Please note: we do not currently have a large inbound lead system or a ready-made pipeline of warm leads. This role is heavily outbound. You will be expected to identify prospects, reach out directly, start conversations, follow up consistently, and book qualified meetings.
This role is best suited to someone who already understands outbound sales and does not need to be trained from the ground up.
You will be responsible for finding potential clients, opening conversations, qualifying opportunities, and booking meetings for Byte Digital’s leadership team.

This is not a role where leads will simply be provided every day. You need to be resourceful, disciplined, and able to build your own prospect list using tools such as LinkedIn, Google, directories, business websites, Apollo, industry lists, CRM tools, and other approved channels.
We will provide service information, positioning, case studies, and support, but we are looking for someone who can bring sales energy, structure, and execution from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- Build targeted lead lists across Australia.
- Contact potential clients via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Book qualified meetings with key decision-makers.
- Understand basic client pain points and position Byte Digital’s services clearly.
- Qualify prospects based on need, timing, budget, and decision-making authority.
- Maintain accurate notes, call outcomes, follow-up dates, and pipeline activity.
- Follow up with prospects until there is a clear outcome.
- Work closely with leadership to improve outreach messaging and target industries.
- Help create a consistent pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.

You will be creating interest in services such as:
- Website design and development
- Mobile app development
- Custom software development
- AI chatbots and agentic AI systems
- Business automation and workflow improvement
- eCommerce development
- CRM, analytics, and lead-generation systems
- Ongoing digital support and technology consulting
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in sales, outbound calling, appointment setting, lead generation, BDR/SDR roles, or business development.
- Confidence making cold calls and speaking with business owners.
- Ability to generate leads without relying on an existing inbound pipeline.
- Strong written communication for email and LinkedIn outreach.
- Good phone manner and ability to build trust quickly.
- Strong follow-up discipline.
- Ability to handle rejection and keep momentum.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Basic understanding of websites, apps, software, AI, or digital services.
- Experience selling IT, SaaS, digital marketing, software, web development, or professional services will be highly regarded.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
