Director of Nursing opportunity for experienced nursing leader to join MDHS.

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our organisation in a leadership role focused on patient safety, quality improvement, clinical education and aged care. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while leading dedicated teams committed to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage patient safety initiatives across all care settings
Direct quality improvement teams to enhance clinical outcomes and operational efficiency
Develop and implement comprehensive clinical education programs
Oversee staff training and professional development initiatives
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish best practice protocols
Monitor and evaluate quality metrics and safety indicators
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Essential Requirements

Demonstrated experience in leading patient safety and quality improvement teams
Previous experience leading clinical education programs
Thorough knowledge of Aged Care sector requirements and regulations
Relevant healthcare qualification and current professional registration
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record in implementing quality improvement initiatives
Knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards and compliance frameworks
Postgraduate qualifications in healthcare management or related field
Experience with risk management and incident reporting systems
Background in curriculum development and adult learning principles
Familiarity with electronic health records and quality management systems
Previous experience in aged care facility management
