Full Job Description

Trade experience, but want to get off site and into the office?

We’re a specialist residential and remedial builder working across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and Inner West. We deliver complex renovations and remedial works for homeowners, architects, engineers and strata managers, and we do it with clear communication, disciplined systems and respect for the documentation.

We have office-based cadetships available in our Alexandria office, full-time. This role suits someone with a trade background who is ready to move off the tools and into the office to learn project management. Your site experience is the reason you will do well here. You already know how a job comes together, what good work looks like and how to talk to trades. We will teach you the rest.

This is a development role. You will learn estimating, project coordination, contracts administration and how we run our projects end to end, with support from people who have done it.

What you'll be doing

Supporting project managers and estimators with day-to-day delivery
Pricing, take-offs and helping put quotes together
Coordinating documents, drawings and approvals
Liaising with trades, suppliers and clients
Helping keep projects on program and on budget
General project administration as you learn the systems

What we're looking for

Trade background with a genuine goal of moving into project management
At least 3 years' experience on site or working for another construction-based company
Proactive, with the drive to take ownership and work autonomously
Strong communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable picking up new software and systems
Full working rights in Australia
