Position Summary
The Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating infrastructure-related projects to ensure successful delivery within agreed operational objectives, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder requirements.
The role will involve working closely with clients, contractors, government agencies, technical specialists, suppliers, and project teams to support project delivery activities across infrastructure, transport, rail, utilities, technology, and operational environments.
The successful candidate will possess strong project management, stakeholder engagement, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple project activities within dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion.
- Assist with project planning activities including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, procurement support, implementation tracking, and project reporting.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, technical specialists, and project stakeholders regarding project activities and operational requirements.
- Monitor project progress, delivery milestones, risks, dependencies, and project performance against established objectives.
- Support project governance activities, compliance requirements, quality assurance processes, and operational controls.
- Coordinate project documentation, reporting, stakeholder communications, and project administration activities.
- Assist with contractor management, supplier engagement, procurement coordination, and service delivery oversight.
- Support implementation, maintenance, upgrade, and improvement projects across infrastructure and operational environments.
- Participate in project meetings, planning workshops, site coordination activities, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the successful delivery of project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Candidates should demonstrate relevant experience working within project management, infrastructure delivery, construction, engineering, operational support, utilities, transport, technology, or related project environments.
The successful applicant will possess strong organisational, stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and support project delivery activities.
Experience working with project management methodologies, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contractor management, and project reporting will be highly regarded.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Information Technology, Infrastructure Management, or related disciplines are preferred.
Industry certifications relating to project management, contract management, safety, risk management, or operational delivery may be advantageous.
