THE OPPORTUNITY
Location: Kyneton, Victoria
Reporting to the Rehabilitation Manager, the successful applicant will deliver rehabilitation management and occupational health services to help achieve the best possible outcomes in injury management, employee wellbeing and cost impacts to the business.
This role will provide the full range of rehabilitation, injury management, return to work and health centre functions that support business objectives. The successful candidate will be a hands-on collaborative Injury Management Coordinator / First Aid Responder, offering support through early intervention, treatment, rehabilitation coordination and efficient injury management processes. The role will be responsible for coordinating workplace rehabilitation and return to work activities while also providing first aid, injury triage, health monitoring and occupational health support.
YOUR RESPONSILBITIES
- Coordinate workplace injury management and return to work programs.
- Develop, implement and monitor suitable duties and rehabilitation plans.
- Liaise with treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, insurers and key stakeholders.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and support positive recovery outcomes.
- Provide first aid treatment, injury triage and early intervention support.
- Maintain confidential treatment and rehabilitation records.
- Assist with injury prevention, health promotion and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support supervisors and operational leaders in managing injured workers.
- Monitor rehabilitation progress and identify barriers to successful recovery at work.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant workers' compensation legislation.
- Contribute to injury trend analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring the following experience and qualifications:
- Experience with workers' compensation claims management.
- Experience in injury management, rehabilitation and return to work coordination.
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (desirable).
- A recognised Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator (RRTWC) Qualification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Victorian Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation.
- Experience in occupational health, workplace health services or employee wellbeing programs.
- Confidence in dealing with multiple stakeholder engagement.
- A flexible approach.
- Initiative and ability to work independently and cohesively within a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Skilled in conflict resolution.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation skills.
