Full Job Description

Steelworks Construction are locally owned (based in Perth, Western Australia) and some of the most diverse and innovative companies in the region. We provide reliable and high-quality tradespeople for a range of civil, industrial and commercial projects across Perth and regional WA. With a commitment to continual improvement and growth in a progressive company, we are seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to commence a long and rewarding career with our teams.

Due to recent growth, an immediate start is available for the ideal candidate within our team. This is an opportunity to be part of a great company led by experienced professionals. If you share our core values of community, collaboration and efficiency, we want to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities:

Support construction operations and maintain safety zones
Interpret blueprints, order materials, and fabricate components
Erect, construct, and strip formwork for various project types (experience with Peri Formwork mandatory)
Assist with concrete pouring and finishing
Build and maintain frameworks for residential and industrial projects
Ensure work meets safety and quality standards; assist Site Manager as needed

To be considered for the role you must have the following:

Relevant Trade qualification and 1 years full time experience in a Formwork Carpentry role

3 years full time experience in a Formwork Carpentry role

And

Commercial and/or Civil Construction experience
High Rise project experience
Experience with Peri Formwork
Ability to read and interpret plans
Able to fulfil manual tasks
White Card
Australian working rights
Highly motivated and positive, can do, attitude towards tasks
Be honest, a team player, reliable and consistent
Good communication skills
