As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, providing valuable support to nursing staff while helping deliver exceptional patient experiences. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to support the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility and comfort.
- Supporting patients throughout their hospital stay and promoting their independence where appropriate.
- Assisting nursing staff with routine clinical and non-clinical tasks within your scope of practice.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patients' condition to the supervising nurse.
- Assisting with patient transfers, admissions and discharge processes.
- Preparing patient areas and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
- Working collaboratively with nurses, medical officers, allied health professionals, patients and families to support positive patient outcomes.
This role offers excellent exposure to a broad range of medical and surgical presentations while providing valuable experience within a supportive acute care environment.

- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistant in Nursing) or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
