As part of a specialised multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with allied health professionals, medical staff and support services to ensure patients receive holistic, high-quality care throughout their hospital journey. 5B is an acute general medical ward known for the kind, patient-focused care we provide and the strong relationships we build with our patients and their families. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team including the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator, Team Leaders and dedicated ward and after-hours educators. What You Will Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse on 5B, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within a busy acute medical environment. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to support positive health outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred nursing care.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborate with medical, allied health and support teams to provide holistic care.
- Support patients and families through effective communication and education.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in care planning.
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on quality, safety and continuous improvement.
This role offers exposure to a diverse range of medical presentations and provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical knowledge and nursing practice.
