Merchandise Supervisor

Supervise the Team Behind the Magic

Do you enjoy supervising people, solving problems and creating exceptional customer experiences?

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and capable Merchandise Supervisor to supervise merchandise operations for Disney: The Exhibition - A Century of Magic hosted at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre.

In this role, you’ll support and guide a small team, coordinate daily merchandise activities, and help ensure every visitor leaves with a memorable experience and a smile.

What You'll Be Doing

Supervising daily merchandise operations.
Supporting Merchandise Sellers.
Stock control and replenishment.
Monitoring customer service standards.
Managing cash handling, end of day balancing and banking processes.
Providing coaching, guidance and support to team members.
Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

About You

You may be the perfect fit if you have retail or merchandise experience, confidence supervising staff in a customer-facing environment, strong organisational and communication skills, and experience with cash handling and end of day banking. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and bring a genuine passion for delivering great customer service while supporting team success.

What You’ll Need

Current QLD Working with Children Check / Blue Card – essential.
Queensland ‘C’ class driver licence – essential.
Experience in merchandise, retail or customer service operations.

Employment Details

This fixed term full-time temporary supervisory opportunity forms part of the project running from November 2026 to May 2027. Flexible hours will include weekends, evenings and public holidays throughout the project period.

Stream B, MECC Level 3 - 4: base annual salary range $34.50 - $39.59 per hour. Offer will be determined on the successful candidates’ qualifications and experience. This is a banded Level 3 - 4 position)

Any 5 out of 7 roster arrangement.
